In 2010, my husband (Matt) and I left the east coast, our families, and everything we’d ever known as home to carve a new path in British Columbia. We welcomed a baby boy (Rhys) in 2014 and he has rocked our little world. I have always been a less is more person, but the addition of toys and tiny clothes to our already small space has pushed us to evaluate our lives and embrace minimalism, family-style. It isn’t stark white, it isn’t barren, but it is less. Less stuff, less commitments, less financial obligations and because of that we are able to say yes to family, to friends, to volunteering, to creating an intentional and meaningful life. It is a journey and the path will be ever changing as our family grows.
